Broaderworld

Get the Android app

The tracker app turns your phone into the GPS source for your vessel — sign in with Google, pick your boat, and it streams your position to your share link (works anywhere with mobile data, even where AIS can't reach).

v0.1.0 · ~12 MB · .apk (direct install) · not on the Play Store yet

Installing (from an unknown source)

Because it's a direct download (not the Play Store), Android asks you to allow it once. On most phones (Android 8+):

  1. Tap Download for Android above and let it finish.
  2. Open the file — from the download notification, or Files → Downloads → broaderworld-tracker-0.1.0.apk.
  3. Android shows “For your security…can't install unknown apps from this source” → tap Settings.
  4. Turn on Allow from this source (for your browser or Files app), then press back.
  5. Tap InstallOpen.
  6. Sign in with Google, choose your vessel, and start tracking.

Older Android (7 or below): Settings → Security → Unknown sources → enable, then open the APK. If Play Protect warns about an unrecognised app, choose Install anyway — it's just because the app is new, not on the store yet.

🔒 Only install APKs from people you trust. This one is published by IATRT for Broaderworld. Once you're set up, turning “Allow from this source” back off is good practice.

Don't want to install anything? Owners can also paste a vessel's device token into any GPS‑pusher, or developers can use the API.
